Celebrating 100 Years of God’s Faithfulness!
Keyport Bible Church’s story reaches back to the early days of the Keyport community. Before the church was formally incorporated in 1926, believers gathered for worship in homes in South Keyport, including the home of F.O. Ekstedt and his family. The congregation, known for a time as Keyport Community Church, later met in Keyport Hall before dedicating its present church building in 1937.
By the time of the dedication service on May 2nd, 1937, the congregation had already adopted the name of Keyport Bible Church. Over the following decades, God continued to provide for the church and its ministry. The church building was expanded in the early 1970s, and a new multipurpose building was constructed in the mid-2000s. In 2000, Keyport Bible Church also merged with the congregation of Bremerton Bible Church.
Through all these years and changes, the church has remained committed to proclaiming the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world, faithfully teaching His Word, and serving the people of Keyport and the surrounding community. As we celebrate 100 years of God’s faithfulness, we give thanks for those who came before us and look forward with faith to what God will continue to do through His church.
